Global Offshore Outsourcing Summit (GOOS) 2006
The Global Offshore Outsourcing Summit (GOOS) 2006, organized by the Indo–American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) in Mumbai on 10th November 2006, unveiled the future of the Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) industry in India.
In an engrossing day the industry stalwarts marked the mantras for success that will enable India to transcend the boundaries from being a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) destination and moving up the value chain to become a KPO hub.
Mr. Mihir Kittur, COO, Ugam Solutions, was an eminent speaker at the event. During a session that dealt with Market Research and Analytics, he said, “Customers are always in search of holistic consumer insights that unfold several opportunities, especially the web.” He also sounded a veiled warning that countries in Latin America and Sri Lanka, Costa Rica, Hungary, Romania, China, Philippines, are likely to emerge as attractive destinations.
GOOS 06 highlighted the ‘India Advantage’ and the fact that now was the right time to seize the opportunities in the KPO sector in India.
